Old City Cemetery

As a 501c3 nonprofit, Old City Cemetery relies on the generosity of our community, both locally and across the nation, to help us fulfill our mission. Your donations allow us to preserve our historic grounds, promote history and horticulture education, and maintain our beautiful gardens. More specifically, donations allow us to offer free-of-charge fields trips to local schools, purchase necessary preservation supplies for headstone repair, purchase the tools and materials needed for the maintenance of our rose collection, and much more.

Mission: To make Old City Cemetery a sustainable and enduring landmark that engages the greater Lynchburg Community through history and horticulture.
